Andrea Bonfante is a PhD researcher at CONNECT in Trinity College Dublin.
Andrea is a native of Mantova in Italy. He received the BSc and MSc degrees in telecommunications engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2009 and 2012 respectively. Since June 2015 he worked with Nokia Bell Labs in Dublin, under the supervision of Dr Nicola Marchetti.
From 2012 to 2014, he worked as Wireless Software Designer with Azcom Technology in Milan. In 2016 he received the Enterprise Partner Scholarship award from Irish Research Council for Science Engineering and Technology.
Andrea is currently pursuing the PhD degree at CONNECT in Trinity College Dublin in conjunction with Nokia Bell Labs. His current research interests include the network and the system level aspects of emerging 5G technologies, focusing on network densification and user-centric approaches.
