Elma is currently a PhD researcher under the supervision of Professor Linda Doyle and Dr Irene Macaluso at CONNECT in Trinity College Dublin.
She received her Dipl. Ing. Degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo in 2011. Her main research interest is spectrum sharing, with a particular focus on licensing, incentivisation and the modalities of regulation. She seeks to create a dialogue between building the culture of sharing and conflicting policies on sharing. Her work reflects an interdisciplinary approach to sharing models — addressing technology, policy, economics and social science embedded in the consumption of a shared spectrum resource.
Her other research interests are blockchain policy and extreme sharing of the infrastructure and resources in future wireless networks.
