Geoflly Adonias is a PhD researcher at CONNECT in TSSG at Waterford Institute of Technology.
Geoflly received his Technical degree in Electrotechnics (2010) and his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Telecommunication Systems (2017) both from the Federal Institute of Paraíba (IFPB), Brazil. During his undergraduate studies, he was awarded a scholarship from the Brazilian Ministry of Education to spend one year in the United States as an International Student at the Northern Virginia Community College.
Geoflly is working on a Science Foundation Ireland funded project as part of the TSSG Brain Initiative. Currently, he is investigating the neuronal signalling and communication within the human body that uses principles from communication engineering theory. The aim is to develop mechanisms able to enhance the interneuronal communication capabilities.
His research interests include Molecular/Nano-scale Communications, Digital Signal Processing, Brain-Computer Interface and Data Science.
