Kainat Bashir Ahmed is a PhD Researcher in CONNECT at University College Dublin (UCD).
She worked as a Network Analyst and Coordinator in IT departments of Govt. of Pakistan. She taught several Electronic and Telecommunication courses at the undergraduate level in NED, University of Engineering & Technology, Pakistan.
She received her bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Pakistan before joining the CONNECT team at UCD in January 2019.
Kainat is currently working as a PhD student on a Scientific Foundation Ireland funded project under the supervision of Prof. Anding Zhu. She is based in the Microwave Lab of Electronics Engineering in UCD, Ireland.
She was awarded the best project and National ICT RnD fund for her work in Wireless Body Area Networks (WBANs).
Her main research interests include machine learning algorithms for optimization, power amplifiers, digital predistortion, digital signal processing, data algorithms, wireless body area network, wireless networks, and mobile communication.
