Kritchai Witheephanich is a CONNECT Research Fellow and Senior Research Scientist at the Nimbus Research Centre at Cork Institute of Technology.
He received his PhD in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the University of Limerick in 2012.
His current research project is focused on distributed and hybrid control synthesis for large-scale energy systems.
His research interests focus on predictive control strategies to wireless system science and energy systems, control of networks, uncertain systems, robust control and estimation, and applications of control theory.
Prior to joining Nimbus, he was a Lecturer with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Srinakharinwirot University (SWU), Thailand, from 2001-2015. He was also appointed as an Editor-in-Chief of Srinakharinwirot Engineering Journal from 2013 to 2015 and an Associate Dean for Research and Innovation Affairs from 2012 to 2015.
