Salvatore Tedesco has been an Research and Development Engineer in Tyndall National Institute since 2012, with MSc Telecommunications Engineering (Hons), BSc Information Engineering (Hons) from University of Salento, Lecce, Italy, obtained in 2011 and 2008, respectively.
His research interests include RFID technology and its applications in different contexts, antenna design, wearable technologies for healthcare and sports science, high performance wireless inertial measurement, ultra-wideband, indoor/outdoor localization, data analytics.
He has been managing industrial/academia research national/international projects focused on developing wearable motion monitoring systems, specifically in the area of health and fitness.
He is author/co-author of several proposals and papers published in international peer-reviewed journals and conferences, reviewer for Radio Science – An AGU Journal, and IEEE Member.
