CONNECT’s leading role in advancing Quantum Communication technology is prominently featured in the Government of Ireland’s ‘Quantum 2030: A National Quantum Technologies Strategy for Ireland’.
The €10m IrelandQCI project led by CONNECT with a budget of €10m, signifies Ireland’s strategic advancement in the global quantum technology sphere, emphasising secure quantum communication. This pivotal project is showcased as a key case study in the strategy (pg. 21).
The strategy also spotlights the Convergent Quantum Research Alliance in Telecommunications (CoQREATE) project, a part of the US-Ireland R&D Partnership, underscoring its vital role in international collaboration in quantum technology (pg. 19).
Additionally, the strategy specially highlights the Quantum and Satellite Communications working group at CONNECT for its success in securing funding for cutting-edge research (pg. 25).
