CONNECT joins EPIC photonics industry association

CONNECT has become a member of EPIC (European Photonics Industry Association), the world’s largest photonics industry association.

EPIC aims to be a catalyst and facilitator for technological and commercial advancement, promoting the sustainable development of organisations working in the field of photonics in Europe.

Welcoming the news, Dr Aleksandra Kaszubowska-Anandarajah (Senior Research Fellow at CONNECT in Trinity College Dublin), said:

“We are very excited about CONNECT becoming a member of EPIC given the benefits offered. EPIC includes over 700 members from 35 countries, so it is a great platform for collaboration, discussion and knowledge exchange between organisations working in photonics. CONNECT’s membership will greatly expand our network of industrial and academic partners, enhance the impact of our research and provide us with expert information on commercialization, end-user and market requirements.”

CONNECT is the world leading Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for Future Networks and Communications.
