Donna O’Shea appointed Chair of Cybersecurity at CIT

CONNECT’s Prof. Donna O’Shea has been appointed Chair of Cybersecurity at Cork Institute of Technology.

Donna’s research expertise lies in the area of network and service management with a specific focus on the design, analysis and optimisation of wired and wireless communication systems.

She was also a co-lead in establishing CyberIreland, Ireland’s national cybersecurity cluster, which brings together industry, academia and government to represent the needs of the cybersecurity ecosystem in Ireland.

CONNECT is the world leading Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for Future Networks and Communications. CONNECT is funded under the Science Foundation Ireland Research Centres Programme and is co-funded under the European Regional Development Fund. We engage with over 35 companies including large multinationals, SMEs and start-ups.
