Fed4FIRE+ Open Call 6

Details of a new Fed4FIRE+ Open Call have just been announced. Submission deadline: 10 September 2019.

The Fed4FIRE+ Open Call 6 focuses on experiments and projects with a duration of 5 months and a budget of max. 55 000 euro with an extra budget of 5 000 euro for the Fed4FIRE+ partner(s) acting as a Patron in supporting throughout the project. The theme for this call is “Wireless Experimentation” which includes topics as (non exhaustive): Wireless  sensor  networks,  Mobile  clouds  and  mobile  edge  computing  (MEC), Wireless mesh networks, End-to-end Quality of Service support, Ad-hoc networks, Cross layer design and optimization, Handover techniques, Heterogeneous wireless access  networks, Integration  of  wired  and  wireless  network, Software-defined wireless  networks, Vehicular  networks, Wireless  mesh  networks, Wireless multimedia systems.

Fed4FIRE+ is a project under the European union’s programme horizon 2020, offering the largest federation worldwide of Next Generation Internet (NGI) testbeds, which provide open, accessible and reliable facilities supporting a wide variety of different research and innovation communities and initiatives in Europe, including the 5G PPP projects and initiatives.

It started in January 2017 and will run for 60 months, until the end of September 2021. The Fed4FIRE+ project is the successor of the Fed4FIRE project.
