PhD vacancies at CONNECT in Trinity College Dublin

Three PhD positions are now available under the supervision of Prof. Marco Ruffini at Trinity College Dublin.

The three research areas are:

  • Virtualisation, slicing and smart monitoring (including machine learning applications) of converged fixed/mobile and access/metro networks. Also, the use of blockchain technology for dynamic resource sharing across network operators. Deadline: 19 February 2020
  • Efficient resource management mechanisms, vertically integrated across applications and network resources to achieve deterministic performance across a shared infrastructure of a developing network. Deadline: Mid-March 2020
  • Deep virtualisation of optical access system (PONs) making use of coherent transmission technology. Deadline: June 2020
