Abdul Wadud is a CONNECT PhD Researcher at University College Dublin under the supervision of Dr. Nima Afraz and Dr. Fatemeh Golpayegani.
He received an MSc degree in Computer Science from the Department of Computer Science, South Asian University (SAU), New Delhi, India. He was awarded the prestigious President Scholarship and SAU Special Scholarship during his study at SAU. Before joining UCD, he was working as a Research Associate (currently in study-leave) at the Bangladesh Institute of Governance and Management (BIGM), Dhaka, Bangladesh. Prior to that he was a Lecturer of ICT at the Rajshahi Cantonment Public School and College.
He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. on the topic of ”Fifth Generation Open Radio Access Network” at CONNECT, with full-funding from the UCD School of Computer Science. His research interests include 5G and 6G communication networks, optical networks, resource allocation, mathematical modeling, machine learnin, and deep learning.
