Anthony (Tony) Robinson is a CONNECT Funded Investigator at Trinity College Dublin.
He is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at Trinity. Tony’s specific expertise is in experimental and computational thermal sciences, thermodynamics and energy. He has extensive experience in heat transfer, fluid mechanics and applied energy research in Ireland, France, Canada and parts of Africa. He is the author of over 130 peer-reviewed research papers as well as over 70 technical reports for industry, business and professional organizations, 8 Invention Disclosures and 7 patents.
Tony and his team perform a broad range of research ranging from the fundamental science of enhanced heat transfer to innovative systems-level engineering. This includes, though is not limited to, advanced cooling systems for electronics in areas such as thermal interface materials, advanced single- and two-phase liquid cooling, extremely high heat flux thermal management, heat pipes and enhanced natural and forced air convective cooling.
