Douglas Leith

Funded Investigator


Douglas Leith is a Funded Investigator at CONNECT in Trinity College Dublin.

He graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1986 and was awarded his PhD, also from the University of Glasgow, in 1989. Following a period at the University of Strathclyde as Senior Lecturer/Royal Society University Research Fellow, Prof. Leith moved to Maynooth University in 2001 to establish the Hamilton Institute of which he was founding Director.

In December 2014, Professor Leith moved to Trinity College Dublin to take up the Chair of Computer Systems in the School of Computer Science and Statistics. His current research interests include wireless networks, network congestion control, distributed optimisation and data privacy.
