Farhan Javed is a CONNECT PhD researcher at University College Cork, currently working under the joint supervision of Dr. Aisling O’Driscoll, Prof. Cormac J. Sreenan, and Dr. Andrew Hines.
Farhan Javed is actively pursuing his doctoral studies on the topic of “”QoE enabled Scheduling for Scalable and Dependable Video Delivery in Vehicular Networks”” at the Mobile & Internet Systems Laboratory (MISL)/SFI-CONNECT, School of Computer Science & IT, University College Cork. His research focuses on wireless networks and communications, wireless sensor networks, vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), signal processing, cloud computing, EDGE computing, 5G autonomous networks, tele-operated driving, machine learning, 6G network management, IoT, IoV, MIMO, and energy-efficient and smart healthcare systems.
Farhan Javed holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila, Pakistan, and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Comsats University Islamabad, Attock Campus, obtained in 2017 and 2022, respectively. During his academic journey, Farhan gained valuable practical experience through internships at Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited in 2015 and Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation in 2016. He also worked as a Research Analyst at Elegant Digital Signage from 2018 to 2023.
