Olivia Butler is a CONNECT PhD researcher at Trinity College Dublin under the supervision of Dr. Aleksandra Kaszubowska-Anandarajah.
Olivia is currently pursuing her Ph.D on the topic of “Optical Performance Monitoring for Future Customised Networks” and her research interests include Photonic Integrated Circuits, Optical Monitoring and Machine Learning.
She received her B.A.I in Electronic and Computer Engineering from Trinity College Dublin. She was employed by Trinity College as a Research Assistant in 2022 working on the DTIF iLife (Irish Lasers for the Internet of the Future) project. This work involved the static characterisation and calibration of photonic integrated circuits.
