Vivek Vasan is a CONNECT PhD researcher at Trinity College Dublin under the supervision of Prof. Marco Ruffini and Prof. Dan Kilper. 

Vivek has a academic background in Physics. He holds a Master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
His research interests lie in the fields of Quantum Communication and Information, Network Science, and Quantum Optics. He has industry experience as a software developer at a fintech firm.
His PhD project involves research in the areas of Quantum Communication and networks particularly coexistence of Classical/Quantum communication. The Project is funded by SFI under the US-Ireland partnership programme.
