The Smart Docklands team and their Project and Engagement Manager Dr Karolina Anielska, has been named Top Innovator at the prestigious Docklands Business Awards.
The award recognises their innovative project, Smart Cities Urban Quest: Adventure in the Docklands, a trailblazing initiative that combines smart city technology with community engagement to transform Dublin’s Docklands into an interactive and exciting urban adventure.
The Smart Cities Urban Quest uses augmented reality and gamification to showcase the future of urban living, inviting participants to explore the Docklands in a fun and educational way. The project is accessible through the Dublin Discovery Trails app, making it easy for anyone to dive into the experience and discover how technology can enhance city life.
Karolina Anielska commented on the award, saying:
