Amber Desprets is the Innovation & Engagement Lead for Smart Dún Laoghaire, a Smart Dublin district collaboration between CONNECT and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.

Amber designed and leads their new engagement programme Trendhunters, which teaches local students trendforecasting skills.

With this futurism engagement programme, she aims to raise more awareness around trendforecasting to demonstrate its importance to our future to our citizens and to drive change through the bottom-up in a smart city environment. With the Trendhunters engagement programme, Smart Dún Laoghaire is more able to build an inclusive future, one where all citizens would feel fulfilled.
