Daniela Iacopino is a Funded Investigator at CONNECT in Tyndall National institute.
Daniela received her PhD in chemistry in 2000 from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy). In 2000 she has joined the Nanochemistry group in University College Dublin as Postdoctoral Fellow. Since 2002, Daniela works in Tyndall in the field of nanotechnology where she leads the “Nanomaterials for sensing” team. Daniela’s research interest include synthesis, self-assembly and manipulation of nanomaterials’ optical and electronic properties for sensing and optoelectronic applications. Daniela is author of over 70 scientific publications. She has coordinated and participated to EU 6Th, 7th, H2020 Framework Programmes and has acted as Principal Investigator in SFI and IRC funded projects. Daniela is a funded investigator in CONNECT and VistaMilk SFI centres.
