PhD Researcher
University of Limerick UL
Ibnu Taufan is a PhD student in Stokes Laboratories, University of Limerick, Ireland, working on Nonlinear Piezoelectric Vibration Energy Harvester for powering IoT sensors.
He received a bachelor’s degree in engineering physics with field of interest in Vibration and Acoustics, from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Surabaya, Indonesia, in 2018: final thesis dealt with structural vibration, finite element analysis (FEA), and vibration signal processing on pump-beam system for vibration monitoring.
He also had experience as a product and development engineer (Mechanical and Vibration) for several years at Manufacturing Industry. He authored/coauthored in several conference and journal papers related to vibration analysis and nonlinear piezoelectric vibrational energy harvester, such as ASME SMASIS 2023, Journal of Vibration Engineering & Technologies (Springer Journal), and Sensors and Actuators A: Physical (Elsevier Journal).
